Summary See below for important information regarding this job. Responsibilities Plans, constructs, and repairs a variety of supply, shipping, and storage containers and similar items. Selects the proper type and grade of wood/wood substitute from a few grades of soft pine, fir, plywood, and masonite. Selects containers, protective devices, cushioning materials, methods, and techniques needed for packing a variety of tools, parts, equipment, and other items. Custom packs various items that cannot be made to fit into containers of standard size. Applies highly detailed knowledge of cleaning, drying, and preservation of methods to material. Operates a variety of power tools and material handling equipment.
