Job Description
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG CO2 welding on steel structures and heavy equipment components
- Fabricate and assemble metal parts according to engineering drawings and specifications
- Cut, fit, grind and prepare steel materials for welding and assembly
- Manufacture and assemble garbage compactor bodies and related equipment
- Inspect welded joints and ensure compliance with quality standards
- Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
- Coordinate with supervisors and production teams to meet project deadlines
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Qualifications
- Experience in truck body building, garbage compactors, skip loaders, hook loaders or similar heavy equipment is an advantage
- High school diploma or GED; vocational training in welding or fabrication is highly preferred
