Job Description
Overview
You will be part of a multi‑disciplinary team of over 70 waste, radiation protection, delivery, and environmental professionals providing support to decommissioning and radioactive waste management projects across the UK.
Responsibilities- Provide advice and guidance on segregating, packaging, labelling and storage of waste.
- Coordinate multiple resources to facilitate disposal.
- Advise on isotopic fingerprints and waste‑stream characterization documents.
- Advise on radioactive and non‑radioactive disposal routes.
- Ensure all waste is removed from the plant area compliantly with site procedures.
- Liaise with the Waste Advisor for non‑routine wastes, including non‑radioactive (non‑hazardous and hazardous) waste.
- Provide information to the Waste Advisor for waste clearance forms and waste routing reports.
- Act promptly on non‑compliance issues and participate in investigations where required.
