WAF Engineer

An exciting opportunity to join a major US based company as a remote near shore contractor located in Brazil. Seeking a AppSec or Network Security Engineer to support a large scale migration of applications to a Cloud-Based Web-Application Firewall (WAF) Platform. Desired Skills: -5+ years of experience in the application security/networking space -Experience with any cloud-based WAF (Akamai, Cloudflare, Imperva). - Akamai-specific experience is highly preferred but not mandatory with strong foundational skills. -Networking & Infrastructure: F5 Local Traffic Manager (LTM), HAProxy, or general load balancer experience. -Core Protocols: Strong understanding of DNS and SSL/TLS certificate management (integrating with internal processes). -Operations: Troubleshooting capabilities and log review experience using Splunk.
