Lach Klan School is located in the village of Lax Klan, also known as Kitkatla, on Dolphin Island, 60 kilometers south of Prince Rupert, BC. The Gitxaala, also known as Git Lax Moon, people of the saltwater, are among the most ancient societies on the Northwest Coast. The community has a population of approximately 400 people. Health and wellness guide a variety of community initiatives, often including Lach Klan School. Our school includes pre-school through grade 12 and currently serves 75 students. The area is home to a wide variety of animal and marine life, numerous islands, and breathtaking views. This area is abundant with opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts.
