Vice President - Underwriting

Job Purpose

Provide support to the Underwriting Team by liaising with reinsurers on underwriting guidelines, campaigns, and audit, coordinating and facilitating internal quality assurance. Also support underwriting for all individual product lines in New Business Underwriting.

• Participate in the development and refinement of underwriting policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with established underwriting guidelines.
• Collaborate closely with reinsurers to develop and implement underwriting campaigns.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with reinsurers to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with underwriting decisions through the review of pending cases.
• Underwrite new applications for life, health, long-term care, and high net worth proposals.
