Job Overview
As a Veterinary Surgeon at RSPCA East Winch Wildlife Centre, you will oversee the rehabilitation of injured or ill stray animals and victims of cruelty and neglect, and demonstrate competence across veterinary disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Dentistry
- Neutering and other soft tissue surgery
- Shelter medicine
- Some sole charge duties
- Off‑site work around once a week for shelter medicine with local branches and centres
- Implement RSPCA policies regarding the re‑homability of animals, including case‑by‑case decision making
- Welfare support work for the RSPCA Inspectorate
- Initial triage of dogs, cats, small furries and, where needed, birds and wildlife (not required to be a wildlife expert)
