Our client, a well-established agri company, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Workshop and Transport Foreman to join its engineering team in Grabouw. The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operation of the vehicle workshop, manage preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs, coordinate transport-related activities and ensure that the company’s fleet remains safe, reliable and operational. This role is suited to a qualified diesel mechanic with strong technical knowledge, proven supervisory experience and the ability to manage a busy workshop efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage planned maintenance schedules to minimise breakdowns and downtime.
Ensure that vehicle breakdowns are attended to promptly.
Oversee repairs, servicing and preventative maintenance on trucks, forklifts and other diesel-powered vehicles.
Conduct quality checks on repaired vehicles.
