Overview

Viittomakielialan Osuuskunta Via is a national cooperative with nearly 100 employees. Viassa work is performed by interpreters for Finnish sign language, written interpreters, teachers of sign language and sign language communication, and administrative staff. In addition to interpretation, we perform translations to Finnish and Swedish Sign Language, international sign language, Finnish and Swedish. Our services are available across Finland and remotely.

Via is a social enterprise; equality is at the core of all work. Our aim is to find suitable interpreters and translators for every situation, and to invest in employee training, wellbeing, and work quality.

Via was founded by interpreters themselves in 1999 and has been operating for over a quarter of a century.
