Job Description

  • Help maintain, develop and underwrite a profitable book of UK Motor Non Proportional and Proportional business.

  • The role holder will be responsible, with Senior underwriter support, for reviewing, pricing and analysing enquiries sent to the team, and responding to brokers with quotes / indications / declinatures, where relevant.

  • Contribute to planning, reporting and projects.

  • The role will be Motor focused with the potential for involvement with other lines of business and wider team.


    • Underwriting 

  • In-depth technical analysis of treaty submissions and wordings, within the framework of SCOR Group Guidelines and in close liaison with actuarial / Underwriting Management units 
  • Liaise with Senior Underwriters in respect of underwriting decisions and ensure treaties are written and documented in accordance with the prescribed sign off triggers and procedures, with escalation through the relevant report...
