Responsibilities
- Independently attend broker visits and conduct broker meetings to build relationships
- Utilize industry knowledge and underwriting guidelines to accept, reject, or mitigate risk
- Determine appropriate premiums, limits, and coverages for complex applications
- Approve or decline insurance applications within established authority limits
- Document underwriting files, including risk analysis and pricing justification
- Utilize multiple databases and specialized software to verify data and compare risks
