Tunnel Geologist

Job description

• Conduct interpretation of actual soil conditions and test results and oversee all tunnel works
• Planning of executive work schedule based on contract schedule for responsible area
• Highlight technical issues and update the Tunnel Manager as and when necessary
• Conduct face mapping to understand the ground condition for tunneling
• Support the tunneling operation from a geological viewpoint
• Provide geological supervision to the tunneling operation
• Ensure the work complies with the project protocol

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• Minimum 5 years of TBM bored tunneling experience
• Good knowledge of local authority requirements and engineering standards
• Good computer skills to fulfill the job functions
• Ability to analyze and synthesize complex issues quickly
