Key Assets New Zealand is seeking a Whānau Support Worker to join our Emergency Care Programme in the Waikato.

About the role

This role provides hands-on, practical support to mātua whāngai (caregivers) and mokopuna (young people accessing care) during emergency and short‑term foster placements, or with whānau caregivers. Working alongside social workers and the wider care team, you’ll help stabilise placements, support daily routines, and uphold the mana and wellbeing of mokopuna during times of transition.
