TRANSPORTATION OPERATIONS SPECIALIST

Summary You will serve as a Transportation Operations Specialist in the Naval Air Terminal Department of NAVAL AIR TERMINAL. Responsibilities You will advise on the opening and closing of an airfield to air traffic based on facility, personnel, or equipment capabilities. You will manage an airfield obstructions reduction program to identify and reduce obstructions within flight path surfaces. You will coordinate with the Community Plans, Liaison Officer, and Air Installation Officer to ensure air operations are not adversely affected by civilian or military interests inside or outside the installation. You will brief others as an airfield subject matter expert on the potential impacts to an airfield and safety of flight.
