Transportation Design Technologist (Calgary)

The Role

A Transportation Design Technologist plays a vital role in the development and implementation of transportation infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include preparing design and tender packages, report preparation, quantity calculations, cost estimates, detailed plans and drawings, and model preparation for roads, highways, bridges, and other transportation systems. The role collaborates closely with engineers and technologists to ensure designs meet regulatory standards, client requirements, and safety protocols. Additional duties include site visits, data analysis, and providing construction technical support.

Ideal Candidate

• Completion of a technical diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or Engineering Design and Drafting Technology or an equivalent program.
• Registered with ASET or equivalent as a Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.).
