Tradesperson - Engineering

We’re chasing solid Fabricator/Welders and Fitter/Welders to join a busy, well‑established engineering firm in Nelson . If you can weld, fabricate, and keep plant machinery running , you’ll fit in perfectly.

What you’ll be doing

• Fabrication & welding (MIG/TIG/Stick) across general engineering projects
• Plant maintenance on fibreboard, sawmill and heavy‑industrial machinery
• Breakdowns, repairs, fault‑finding and preventative maintenance
• Workshop builds, structural steel, pipework, brackets, guards, frames
• Occasional site work around local mills and manufacturing plants

What we’re looking for

• Strong fabrication/welding skills
• Experience as a maintenance fitter or fitter/welder
• Ability to strip, repair, rebuild and maintain production machinery
