Technician laboratory metallugical services (sg2024)

The key function of this role is to provide basic metallurgical support for metallurgical engineers and TCS engineers in customer complaints, product development, and plant engineers.

Job Specification: Receipt, preparation, and metallurgical testing and evaluation of samples as required under the supervision of the senior engineer, metallurgical services, and development. Liaise with the originators requiring the work, and with mechanical testing laboratory workshop and analytical laboratory personnel on a daily basis. Operation of mechanical saws, guillotines, shears, grinding, and polishing equipment for preparation of samples. Adhere to set standards when preparing etching solutions and examination. Ensure correct sample preparation techniques and microscope set-up to enable accurate metallurgical evaluation of samples.
