Position Overview
A Data Centre Technician is responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and monitoring of critical infrastructure within data center facilities. This hands‑on role ensures optimal performance, availability, and reliability of servers, networking equipment, power systems, cooling infrastructure, and environmental controls that support mission‑critical IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Monitoring and Operations
The technician continuously monitors data center environmental conditions including temperature, humidity, airflow, and power consumption through building management systems and data center infrastructure management (DCIM) platforms. They perform regular visual inspections of server racks, cable management systems, raised floor areas, and mechanical equipment to identify potential issues before they impact operations.
