Minimum Qualifications
Have NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate or Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate for Adults)
Requirements
Be medically fit to work in the specific business area.
Have a clear security screening record.
Be able to schedule and prioritise work.
Be able to plan and organise work.
Be analytical with attention to detail.
Be able to read and write.
Have at least 1 years’ experience in an engineering working environment.
Have a valid Driver’s license.
Key Responsibilities
Complete 5-minute Risk assessment.
Assist in performing: Conducting daily visual checks on Telephone Exchanges. Repairing of faulty telephone lines Surface and Underground. Testing and repairing of 2 meg Fibre links. Installation of new Telephone lines Surface and Underground. Monthly checks and Testing of Exchange UPS backup power. Monthly testing of Exchange Generators.
