Job Description
Technical Writer
On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a Technical Writer on a 6‑month contract. Salary: £45 per hour via umbrella. Location: Filton (60% onsite after training). Contract: Monday‑Friday, 35 hours per week. IR35 status: Inside. Security clearance: BPSS.
Responsibilities
- Manage all authoring activities for the Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM) and Troubleshooting Manual (TSM) for Landing Gears.
- Analyze inputs (drawings, design modifications) to assess impact on maintenance manuals delivered to airlines.
- Plan, verify and incorporate source data; ensure technical accuracy and compliance with Airbus policies.
- Respond to technical request tool queries and provide customer support to meet maintenance and operational needs.
- Monitor and steer subcontracted maintenance authoring activities; lead regular review meetings with Design Office and subcontractors.
