Technical Resource Advisor for Carpentry

Job Description

The Technical Resources Department is seeking a qualified Supervisor of Carpenter as the Technical Resource Advisor for Carpentry to oversee special repair projects, executive and mayoral programs, address backlogs, perform site inspections to ensure quality assurance and compliance with code requirements and adhering to agreed upon schedules, prepares job orders, estimates for needed materials and maintain inventory for materials, tools and equipment.

Under general supervision and wide latitude for independent judgement and decision-making, the Technical Resource Advisor, Supervisor of Carpenter duties will include, but are not limited to:

1. Supervise and coordinate daily activities of carpenters and other assigned personnel.
2. Plan, assign and review work to ensure it meets project specifications and quality standards.
3. Interpret blueprints, drawings, and project documents to guide carpentry tasks.
