Job Summary

Grade G – Salary £34,434 to £38,220 (pay award pending). Permanent contract.

Essential requirements: valid current UK driving licence.

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Technical Officer to join our busy Pollution Control team at Bolton Council.

As part of a friendly and supportive team, you will carry out a wide range of duties in relation to pollution control matters including nuisance and contaminated land. You will see through cases from the provision of advice, guidance, serving of notices to enforcement and deal with a wide range of customers. The work will be reactive in dealing with complaints and requests and also proactive in assessing the environmental impacts of planning applications. You will also respond to licensing consultations.
