Teaching Assistant - Year 1

Overview

No two days are the same! You'll play a vital role in supporting children's learning, confidence and wellbeing by:

• Helping children understand and access learning activities.
• Encouraging independence whilst providing appropriate support and guidance.
• Supporting learning across a range of subjects including phonics, reading, writing and mathematics.
• Delivering targeted interventions and supporting individuals and small groups.
• Helping children develop confidence, resilience and positive self-esteem.
• Making informal observations and celebrating children's achievements.
• Supporting the implementation of individual provision plans and personalised learning strategies.
• Working closely with teachers to create engaging resources and learning opportunities.
