Hays Education are looking to recruit qualified and unqualified Teaching Assistants for a variety of daily and long term supply jobs in Primary schools across Sefton LA.

Starting in September 2026, these Teaching Assistant jobs can vary from 1 day to whole school terms. We also have full and half day cover jobs available. Whatever your personal circumstances, we will have a job to suit your needs.
Your new role
The successful Teaching Assistant will provide support and supervision for students aged between 3-11. You will be responsible for encouraging their engagement in the learning process, helping the class teacher and working with them towards agreed aims and objectives. The successful Teaching Assistant will work 1:1 and at times in small groups with students as part of a professional team contributing towards meeting the academic, social, behavioural and emotional needs of young people.
