Teaching Assistant – School Hours

Axcis Education is currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work at a school on the outskirts of Hereford. The school is looking for support from September, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm, during term time only. As a Teaching Assistant, you will primarily work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil who has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). You will support the pupil both in and out of the classroom, helping them access learning and settle into school life. The pupil will be starting Year 3, making this an important transition, so providing consistent support and building a positive relationship will be key to their success. Ideally, you will have previous experience working with children on a 1:1 basis or within an educational setting. You should be confident building rapport quickly, adaptable and happy to support wherever needed. The pay for this role is £14.25 per hour.
