Job Description

The Role

As a Systems Engineer, you will support the development and integration of complex systems that underpin the UK’s underwater test and evaluation capability, including systems deployed into live operational environments at BUTEC.


Day-to-day, you’ll contribute across the systems engineering lifecycle, supporting requirements capture, system design, integration and test activities, and working closely with software, hardware, and project teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the integration of software, hardware and firmware across complex systems

  • Contributing to systems engineering activities across requirements, architecture, integration and test

  • Working closely with project, software, integration and verification teams

  • Supporting engagement with stakeholders to capture and manage system requirements

  • Assisting with integration, verification and validation activities
