Summary This position is located within the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA); Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Mid-Atlantic Health Care Network (VISN 6), Fayetteville VA Medical Center, in Fayetteville, NC. The Chief of Social Work is responsible for defining the mission and vision of Social Work, developing the scope for and overseeing the practice of Social Workers, and assuring implementation of quality improvement measures for the Fayetteville VA Coastal Health Care System. Responsibilities The Chief, Social Work is responsible for developing, planning, clarifying, administering, overseeing, and managing Social Work within all areas of the Medical Center to include Primary Care, Inpatient, Extended Care, and Behavioral Health Services and maintains overall responsibility for specialty programs such as Spinal Cord Injury (SCI), Caregiver Support, Visual Impairment Services Team (VIST)/Blind Rehabilitation Service (BRS), and the Hoptel programs.
