Summary This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Office of Program Operations and Local Engagement(OPOLE), Div of Bankruptcy & Overpayment (DBO). As a Supervisory Financial Management Specialist, GS-0501-14, you will serve as Division Director, leading a division overseeing Medicare debt management and overpayment recovery across multi-state regions, supervising staff and operations. Responsibilities Directing the work of Accountants, Health Insurance Specialists, and contractor staff by assigning tasks based on priority and complexity, establishing short-term schedules, and ensuring court deadlines and timeliness standards are met. Establishing internal controls and monitoring division performance to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal audit requirements, including overseeing the development of SOPs and training materials.
