The basement fire pump room is equipped with a sump pump to automatically remove accumulated water resulting from DEWA water storage tank overflow, pipe leakage, or other sources of water ingress. This system plays a critical role in maintaining a dry environment and protecting essential fire protection equipment, including the electric fire pumps, diesel fire pump, jockey pump, electrical control panels, and associated fire system components.

During a routine inspection conducted on 09 July 2026 , the sump pump (Single-Phase 2.5-inch Submersible Sewage Pump, 3 HP, Model H2200F) was found to be non-operational. A detailed technical assessment confirmed that the motor winding had burned out due to motor failure, rendering the pump completely inoperative and beyond repair.
