What you’ll be doing

As a summer intern with Meridian Energy, you'll get the opportunity to work on some of New Zealand's most iconic hydro and/or wind generation assets, as well as being active in all aspects of the company. The programme will push you to develop real‑life business and technical skills. You’ll be trusted with owning real projects that contribute to how we generate, deliver and support energy across Aotearoa, and will be supported by a friendly team of experts along the way.

What you’ll bring

You’ll gain hands‑on exposure at our key generation sites, work shoulder‑to‑shoulder with seasoned engineers, and solve real‑world challenges that span different hydro and wind generation systems. This 400‑professional‑hour placement offers immersive learning across engineering and other Generation and Development business teams.
