Job Description
Want to work on high-impact naval engineering projects that push the limits of structural analysis?
We’re looking for a Stress Engineer to join Naval team on a 3-year fixed-term contract, contributing to high-impact defence projects. Reporting to the Mechanical Integrity Leader, you’ll collaborate with experienced engineers, solving challenging problems using advanced analytical techniques.
What You’ll be doing
- Analyse components for fatigue, plastic collapse, buckling, ratcheting, rupture, natural frequency, heat transfer
- Analyse components for loads from shock and operation
- Assist in weld type definition and check for strength and fatigue
- Identify deficiencies in design through analysis techniques and propose improvements to features
- Analyse features and components for safe lifting during build and installation
- As required, analyse non-customer equipment such as pressure test fixtures
