Job Description
A structural and steelwork contractor based in Hertfordshire is currently seeking a permanent Steel Estimator to join their pre-construction team. This is a vital role preparing accurate cost estimates and tenders for projects ranging from £20k to £3 million.
Start Date : April
Salary : £70,000 - £80,000 per annum
Hours : 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM
Contract : Permanent
Duties :
- Reviewing detailed drawings and specifications to understand project requirements.
- Performing accurate material take-offs and assessments.
- Obtaining and analyzing supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Assessing labour and fabrication costs based on project complexity.
- Compiling and submitting comprehensive and competitive tender packages.
