Role Overview

The Northern Heart Centre is seeking a Cardiologist to join the team in a permanent role, providing leadership across specialist services. The role reports through the Clinical Director and will provide high‑quality specialist cardiology services across inpatient, outpatient, and procedural settings at Launceston General Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a comprehensive cardiology assessment, diagnosis, and management for admitted and referred patients.
• Perform and interpret a broad range of cardiac investigations and interventional procedures within scope of practice.
• Contribute to after‑hours on‑call rosters and acute cardiac response.
• Provide clinical supervision and education to junior medical staff, registrars, and students.
