Staff Specialist - Cardiology

The Northern Heart Centre is a specialist cardiac care provider for Tasmania’s north and north west. The Department of Health seeks a Cardiologist to lead this service in a permanent role.

Role

Reporting to the Clinical Director, you will provide high-quality specialist cardiology services across inpatient, outpatient and procedural settings at Launceston General Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive cardiology assessment, diagnosis and management for admitted and referred patients
• Perform and interpret a broad range of cardiac investigations and interventional procedures within your scope of practice
• Contribute to after-hours on-call rosters and acute cardiac response
• Provide clinical supervision and education to junior medical staff, registrars and students
