Job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic/ motivated Band 5 Registered Nurse or to join our team on the Intensive Care Unit at the West Cumberland Hospital.
The Trust will provide a twelve month preceptorship period for all newly registered healthcare professionals.
Healthcare Professionals returning to practice, moving into new roles or changing clinical environments, may access an agreed preceptorship period.
Main duties of the job
Our busy 6 bedded general ICU unit provides adult intensive care/ high dependency care and post anaesthetic care for elective and emergency patients across a range of medical and surgical specialities including, Renal, Cardiology, Respiratory,Orthopaedic, Neurological and Obstetric patients. Within our ICU we are actively involved in stabilisation and transfer of adult patients requiring more specific intensive care e.g. neurological trauma, burns, spinal injuries, cardiac and hepatic disease.
