Staff Accountant
LHH is seeking a Staff Accountant to work in Suffolk County onsite. This can be a direct hire or temp to hire opportunity and can pay $75K. Client will also consider more entry level candidates who are willing to learn with advanced Excel skills and accounting degree.

LHH is seeking a Staff Accountant to work in Suffolk County onsite. This can be a direct hire or temp to hire opportunity and can pay $75K. Client will also consider more entry level candidates who are willing to learn with advanced Excel skills and accounting degree.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and post journal entries while ensuring accuracy and integrity of the general ledger
- Support monthly and annual close processes, including account analysis and adjustments
- Perform reconciliations across bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts, resolving discrepancies as needed
- Provide support across accounts payable and accounts receivable functions during peak periods
- Assist with cost tracking and financial management for project-based or operational initiatives
- Contribute to the preparation of financial statements, forecasts, and variance reporting
