Principal Duties Read and interpret Engineering drawings and technical documentation with understanding of Electrical/mechanical parts and products. Lead Supplier Quality Engineering early preventive activities including drawings requirements, risk assessment and mitigation, supplier audits and qualification activities, control plan development, inspection plan, and first article review. Analytical and problem‑solving competency to drive performance results. Uses dashboards and metrics to drive ongoing commodity performance continuous improvement. Lead and address any supplier‑related corrective, preventive actions and improvement, address the true and systemic root causes, and eliminate repeats. Applies quality methodologies, tools, and techniques (e.g. 8 D, SPC, Cp/Cpk, GR&R, Design for Six Sigma, Cost of Poor Quality, Failure Mode Effect Analysis, etc.) incrementally and throughout product development and release.
