What? The GPS ME Controls Engineer provides support and leads the implementation of standard Controls & Automation technologies that allow machines to perform complex manufacturing processes.

How? The technical skills of the Controls Engineer allow him/her to ensure that the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) a) follow GM’s specifications to build GM’s machinery, b) deliver fully functional equipment on the GM target date to fulfill the manufacturing operations requirements.

Why? If this GM position didn’t exist, the OEMs would often deviate from GM’s safety, productivity and quality requirements. Also, they could jeopardize the timely start of new manufacturing operations.
