JOB DESCRIPTION

The Specialist Physician shares the same responsibilities as the Consultant Physician in delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based, patient‑centered care. The post holder is expected to exemplify clinical excellence within the Division, supervise, and train junior medical staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support and adhere to all hospital departmental and divisional initiatives, policies, and procedures.
• Participate in the organization’s performance management system, including peer review and productivity/utilization review processes.
• Assist with ensuring adequate medical coverage within the Division at all times.
• Attend divisional meetings as invited.
• Assist in reporting, investigating, and responding to untoward incidents.
• Take on administrative or clinical duties as requested by Consultant Staff.
