Specialist - General Surgery (Breast Surgeon)

The Incumbent is a Specialist General Surgeon who provides services to patients in OPD, attends emergencies, operates on those that need surgery, and also manages the pre‑ and post‑operative care of patients under him. The types of cases he handles are strictly as per the hospital privileging. He/she provides preventive care according to approved procedures as part of the integrated program to meet JCI standards. The incumbent attends ambulatory and hospitalized surgical patients of all degrees of complexity within the area of competence and expertise, and provides surgical care of a more specialized nature within the clinical privileges approved by the Credentials and Privileges Committee. The Chief is informed of unusual problems or actions taken regarding unusual cases. Consultations are provided at the request of other staff of other services in the hospital.
