Job Description
Elevate guest experiences as a Dining Room Sommelier at Hastings House Country House Hotel. Bring your passion for wine and fine dining to Salt Spring Island's premier luxury resort.
In this role, you will help shape the Hastings House wine program with your extensive knowledge of wines and pairings. Collaborating with the General Manager, you will manage the wine cellar, train staff, and ensure that the team meets high service standards as per Relais & Chateaux expectations. Your expertise will contribute to creating an unforgettable dining atmosphere for guests.
Key Responsibilities:
• Curate an exceptional wine selection and program
• Manage the wine cellar's inventory and organization
• Oversee floor plans and dining room logistics
• Train staff in service behaviors and wine knowledge
• Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of dining areas
Requirements:
• Five years experience in fine dining environments
• Supervisory experience for 1-2 years preferred
