Family Harm Social Worker – ISR Team

Secondment opportunity until 30 June 2027. Based at our Papanui Site in the ISR Team, the role works across all sites including Rangiora.

About the role

We are working with children and families in Christchurch to make positive change in our community. The work is demanding but rewarding. The job supports front line social workers who hold high risk family harm cases in the assessment phase or other areas of the program.

Responsibilities

• Co‑work cases with front line social workers, including case consultations where family harm is identified as high risk in the FSS system.
• Home visits to families with the social worker.
• Attend whanau hui and professionals’ hui with a care and protection lens to support discussion and decision-making regarding pathways for children and families.
