Job Description
Job Overview:
The SMSF Accountant will support the team in the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, audit files, and workpapers for Self-Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) clients. The role will ensure compliance with SMSF regulations, manage reporting requirements, and provide accurate and timely documentation. This position requires attention to detail, technical knowledge of SMSF accounting and compliance, and strong communication with the client engagement team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements, tax return and audit file for SMSF clients
- Preparation of workpapers in line with standards and processes
- Ensure compliance with SMSF regulations and organizational guidelines
- Prepare and lodge BAS (Business Activity Statements) and other regulatory returns
- Preparation of year-to-date reconciliation and interim reports at request
