Job Description
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Shotfirer to join our Mining – Drill & Blast team at our Cowal (West Wyalong), NSW operations. This will be on going, long-term project work.
Both full-time and casual positions available. DIDO on a company supplied bus with accommodation available for those residing outside the West Wyalong area. Roster is 7:7 (days) – day shift only.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support senior shotfirer with blasting activities.
- Follow Load and tie in plans.
- Explosive vehicle and magazine inspections.
- Handling explosives and ensuring safety.
- Cleaning and securing blast areas.
- Reporting incidents and completing documentation.
- Spotting MMU & Stemming loader on blast pattern.
