Job Description
Our Melita location is looking for a Shop Assistant to support our Service Department. In this role, you will assist with basic repairs and service tasks on outdoor power equipment while working under the guidance of a Senior Technician, Service Manager, or Shop Foreman. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to develop hands-on mechanical skills.
Your responsibilities will be:
- This is a permanent Part time position
- Perform basic service tasks as assigned
- Develop skills in removal, disassembly, and reconditioning of components
- Assist with the reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignments
- Participate in Service Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
- Assist Senior Technicians as required
- Maintain condition of service vehicles, trailers, tools and equipment
