Qualifications and Education Requirements
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Computer experience preferred; Experience in shipping, receiving, and/or a warehousing environment.
Summary of the Position
The Shipping Associate is responsible for picking, preparing, and shipping outgoing freight on time, in full, and error free, while working in a team environment. They must also be able to bend, reach, push, pull, and carry up to 51 pounds. Computer skills are necessary and warehousing experience is preferred.
Essential Responsibilities
- Retrieve products from the specified lines per the order pick list.
- Palletize the items to be prepared for shipment, may require the use of additional tools such as a crimper.
- Double check prepared orders by reviewing the pick list and items stacked on pallets.
- Band pick list selected items to pallets.
