Job Description
Operate various types of sewing machines (e.g., single-needle, overlock, flat-bed, or computerized machines) to sew different components of garments, such as sleeves, cuffs, waistbands, or zippers.
Set up sewing machines by selecting appropriate threads, needles, and other materials for the specific garment being produced.
Sew fabric pieces together to form finished garments, ensuring precise stitching, alignment, and uniformity according to design specifications.
Adjust stitch length, tension, and machine settings to ensure consistent stitch quality and product durability.
Follow patterns or templates to create the correct garment structure.
Inspect finished garments or parts for defects, such as missed stitches, uneven seams, or fabric damage, and correct any issues immediately.
Report any major machine malfunctions to supervisors for repair or replacement.
