Job Description

NOTE: Example of shift times are 6am-2pm, 6am-11am, 11am-4pm, 8am-4pm, 7am-3pm. You would need to be available as a part time staff member to work all required times. Please take these shift times into consideration when applying for the position
DUTIES:
Transfer mending buckets from clean linen area to mending area.
Inspect all pieces of linen and sort for repair or replacement.
Record all items discarded (or ragged out) on standard form.
Repair items with minor damage using the sewing machines, patching machine, or other means.
Return all repaired linen to the wash side for processing.
Alert the manager when linen damage appears to be increasing at an unusual rate so corrective action, if possible, can be taken.
Manufacture certain linen items in consultation with the manager.
Perform regular preventive maintenance on the sewing machines. Advise the manager when complete servicing is necessar...
