Service Manager - Museums & Heritage

Responsibilities

• Lead the Council's relationship with Birmingham Museums Trust, including contract management, performance and value for money.
• Oversee the reopening of Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, coordinating across council services and partners.
• Lead the development and delivery of the Council's Heritage Strategy, aligned to planning and policy frameworks.
• Secure major external investment through heritage funding bids.
• Oversee the delivery and governance of funded heritage programmes and capital projects.
• Act as the Council's senior professional lead on museums, heritage and conservation.
• Build strong partnerships locally, regionally and nationally.

Qualifications

• Experience in heritage, museums, archaeology, cultural policy or a related field.
