Senior Specialist (Animal Welfare)

Overview

We are seeking a senior specialist for the Animal Welfare and Identification Unit at the Food Agency. The senior specialist's role is to serve as an expert on animal welfare legislation, implementing tasks required by EU and national legislation.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for legislative implementation, planning, guidance, management, and development of supervision related to animal welfare.
• Participate in the implementation of animal welfare requirements related to conditionality.
• Independently prepare expert opinions and positions on their area, analyze and anticipate future sector needs, and plan and develop operational models and processes.
• Participate in various international networks and working groups as needed.
• Ensure compliance of the area’s information systems with regulations and participate in the development and maintenance of these systems.
